Rick Heinrichs
Production Designer/Animator
Rich Heinrichs may only have 16 credits under his belt as a production designer, but you may already know and love him for his work on The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Sleepy Hollow, and A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Set of Sleepy Hollow, completely built on a sound stage.
Graduating from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California; Heinrichs was recruited by the Walt Disney Company where he met and befriended Tim Burton, whom he would later regularly collaborate with. Burton helped propel Heinrichs’s art department career forward, beginning as Art Director for ‘Pee Wee’s Big Adventure‘ and ‘Beetlejuice‘, set designed for ‘Edward Scissorhands‘, and later was Supervising Art Director for Jeremiah Chechik’s ‘Tall Tale‘.
Heinrichs’s work has been widely recognized for his darker color schemes in his movies, using it to entice “drama, danger and otherworldliness.”

Set of the movie Fargo.
His eye for detail creates stunning worlds, inspired by reality and fiction, scouting for appropriate features needed in film and building worlds on a soundstage that breathe life to the world the characters live in and take on the personalities of the characters that they interact with. No detail goes unnoticed or unused.
